It’s another day with oppressive heat and humidity in our area. That excessive heat warning continues through tomorrow night with the heat index expected to once again top out in the 105-110 degree range. If you have to be outside, experts say you need to remember to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks. Be sure to check on your neighbors, especially the elderly and never leave children or pets inside a car in this heat. Libraries and the mall are good places to get out of the heat and remember that River Valley Metro also allows their busses to be used as cooling centers with free bus routes when the heat index is over 100.
