Jake LaMore

    Born and raised in Manteno, IL, Jake (a.k.a Jacques) LaMore, has been an active member in the music industry for the past 12 years. From being lead singer and guitarist in a pop-punk band, to being a promoter, booking agent, merch manager, sound tech, and everything in between. Around age 10, Jake, began to learn his first instrument, which was trumpet. From then on, his love for music continued to grow in different genres and began learning other instruments such as bass, guitar, and even started singing. By age 13, LaMore, formed The Projection, wrote many songs, recorded a few albums and EPs, and performed locally and toured nationally up until the band’s farewell in September 2015.

    Jake, began his broadcasting career in July 2014 and was hired in February of 2015 to do afternoons on WFAV 95.1 FM. You can find him on WFAV from 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM, Monday through Friday, and 6:00 AM to Noon on Saturday.  His passion for music is present in his show and loves to share that passion and interact with the listeners.
